| | | 1952 UK Triang Minic 115M Plastic W/U Dump Truck(Reference #4-5-48) For some reason, the TRIANG 115M MINIC DUMP TRUCK is a difficult toy to find these days. Perhaps it was not very popular at the time, and in consequence, was made in fewer numbers than other items in the same range. This example is in working order, but please note that no key is supplied. The overall condition is good, but there is a sort of mottled effect to the plastic, which may be original or the effects of ageing. We do not know what has caused this, but the appearance is not displeasing, and is mainly confined to the upper side of the chassis. The dual steering wheel is missing, as it always was a particularly fragile feature of this toy. The all-plastic dump truck is 4 inches long, has no cracks or damage to the body, and has rubber tyres. The lever operated tipping mechanism also still works. Lost your one in the sandpit all those years ago? Then why not treat yourself to a replacement? (#) US$30.00

| | 1950s English Tin W/U Steamroller(Reference #9-12-05pp) Although this delightful tinplate and wind-up steamroller toy isn't marked in any way, it was probably made in England in the 1950s. It measures 6 inches long and is in full working order. It has an integral key that, when wound, sends the steamroller backwards and forwards in a truly realistic manner. It also makes that charming clacking noise so beloved of toy manufacturers. The steamroller is in very acceptable condition for its age; all it suffers from is age-related wear and scuffing to the roof of the cab and the side of one wheel, and the inevitable wear to the rims of the wheels and roller where they have made contact with the ground over the years. If steamrollers are your passion, then this could well be the item for you. (#) US$38.00

| 1950s UK Mettoy Plastic W/U Steamroller(Reference #0-5-32) This clever novelty toy is believed to have been made by Mettoy during the1950s, and is powered by an elastic band. The steamroller measures 4¼" long, is in very good condition, and works extremely well indeed. When wound up, by turning the yellow winder at the front, the toy will trundle back and forth for a surprisingly long time. There are no cracks or distortion to the plastic, and this really is a delightful item, to appeal to anyone interested in unusual or early plastic playthings. (75 WR) US$38.00

| | 1930s Tin W/U Miniature Steamroller(Reference #0-5-97) Made by CK of Japan in the pre-war period, this delightful miniature steamroller measures just 3.5" long. It is brightly lithographed in red, blue and white, and, when wound, moves swiftly backwards and forwards in true steamroller fashion (but please note that a key is not supplied). It is clearly marked with the CK trademark and the word 'FOREIGN'. In terms of condition, all the steamroller suffers from is relatively minor surface scuffing. (#) US$118.00
