1980s Konica Playing Cards(Reference #04-5-56x)
These promotional cards for Konica films and cameras are in excellent condition, and are complete with two jokers and a bridge scoring table. Made by Carta Mundi of Belgium, the cards are still contained in their original box which is complete and intact but does suffer from some cardboard loss to the front. US$18.00

Issued in the 1930s to promote Woodbine Cigarettes, these playing cards are in very good condition although, sadly, both jokers are missing. The cards bear the legend: 'The winning hand holds the Woodbine'. The box also suffers from some scuffing and water marking. US$24.00

1987 Kellogg's Frosties Playing Cards(Reference #09-6-16a)
Produced by Toyforce in 1987, this promotional pack of Kellogg's 'Tony the Tiger' playing cards is complete with two aces, the rules for 'Race to the Ace' and 'Beat your Neighbour', and an instruction sheet for six magic card tricks. The cards are in very good condition; the box is slightly worn. US$18.00

These promotional playing cards date from the 1930s and depict the RMS Strathmore at Port Said. They are complete and in very good condition. They are still contained in their original slipcase; this is also in good shape, although it does suffer from slight scuffing and tearing. US$36.00

Issued in 1995 to celebrate sixty years of Penguin Books, these cards are in mint and boxed condition. They feature original Penguin book covers ranging from classic titles such as 'Cold Comfort Farm' and 'Vile Bodies' to the lesser known 'See you at the Morgue' and 'Phantom Lobster'.

Probably dating from the 1980s, these delightful cards are complete and still contained in their original box. The picture cards feature various French wines whose essential features are explained in the accompanying leaflet. The cards are in excellent condition and do not appear to have been used very much, if at all.


1930s Double Set of Harrods' Playing Cards(Reference #09-12-05c)
Probably issued as a promotional item in the 1930s, these two sets of playing cards are housed in an embossed case with an example of the cards on the reverse. The cards feature an image of the Knightsbridge store's shop front and are in very good condition. The case is in less good condition, as it suffers from some tearing and scuffing. US$44.00

Measuring just 2" x 2.75", these patience cards are complete and are still contained in their original slipcase. This has an embossed plaque featuring a Roman soldier and the words 'Waddington's Patience Playing Cards'. Both the cards and the case are in very acceptable condition for their age. US$20.00

Made in the US in the 1950s, this boxed set of Stratford playing cards consists of two complete packs of playing cards with a joker in each set. One set features a green back with a comical Scotsman in kilt and sporran, with a thistle in the top left-hand corner; the other set features the same design, but on a red background. The cards have clearly been used, but are in overall good condition. The box just suffers from scuffing and taping. (WR) US$20.00

Published in England in the 1930s, these exquisite miniature patience playing cards measure just 2" x 1.25" and are still contained in their original cardboard box (3" x 2"). They comprise two complete decks of 52 cards plus two jokers (106 cards in total). The back of each card is decorated with an attractive image of a galleon under full sail. The cards are in excellent original condition and do not appear to have been played with much, if at all. The box just suffers from scuffing to the corners. (#) US$20.00

1950s UK Boxed Promotional Playing Cards (2)(Reference #5-11-66)
On offer here are two packs of English promotional playing cards: one for Hadfields (paints, enamels and varnishes), and the other for Crane Packing. Both sets of cards are in very good condition and have two jokers each. The only defects to report are that the Hadfields pack lacks the ace of clubs, and both boxes suffer from minor scuffing and tearing. (WR) US$30.00

Made in the 1950s, two of these boxed sets of complete playing cards (Dana and Avon) were made by the United States Playing Card Co; the third set was made in the UK. The two US sets have one joker each; the UK set has no joker. All of the cards are in good condition, with very little wear. The Avon set includes a set of rules for New York Hearts and Black Jack as well as a number of promotional cards. The pictorial rodeo backs of this set are particularly attractive. The two US boxes are in good condition; the UK box suffers from scuffing, tearing, and minor graffiti. (WR) US$20.00
