1930s Boxed Japanese Dexterity Puzzle Rings
(Reference #9-2-01pp)
Simply marked 'foreign', this box (7.25" x 5") of 'puzzle ring' (sic) is undoubtedly Japanese in origin and dates from the pre-war period. The graphics on the box lid are an absolute delight, featuring an elephant and a jointed toy jousting with the metal puzzles. The contents may not be complete, but consist of five puzzles: two linked triangles, two rings linked by a twist, two linked key shapes, two linked vertical bars with rounded ends, and one vertical bar with rounded ends linked to a twist. The puzzles are in very good condition; the box just suffers from slight staining. This is an attractive set that would enhance any collection of metal dexterity puzzles. (J) US$24.00
