Mr Punchs Shop : Dexterity Puzzles
| | | 1950s Journet Television Dexterity Puzzle(Reference #09-11-21)
This is one of the earlier and more unusual dexterity puzzles made by R Journet of London in the 1950s. Measuring 4" x 5", it is in the form of an early television set with six cardboard pieces. To complete the puzzle, you have to manipulate the six pieces into the screen in the correct order. If you manage to do this (and it's no easy task), you'll see a picture of a cricket match. Other versions exist showing the University Boat Race. The puzzle is in relatively good order for its age, but does suffer from some paper loss to the top edge. If you're a collector of either television memorabilia or dexterity puzzles, then this item could be of interest to you.

| | 1920s English Journet Whirligig Dexterity Puzzle.(Reference #10-2-55)
On offer here is an early Journet puzzle, dating from the days when there were only 33 'popular puzzles' in the range. Measuring 3.25" x 4.25" x 1.25", the puzzle is probably absolutely impossible to do as you have to manoeuvre one ball into each of the four holes which sit on a revolving and tilting circular base. The puzzle is in reasonable condition for its age, but does lack its original beading surround, and suffers from slight paper loss and staining. However, it's in pretty remarkable condition for its age. US$90.00
