1950s English David Attenborough BBC TV Zoo Quest Game(Reference #02-10-04z)
On offer here is a partially complete early television game which is based on David Attenborough's BBC 'Zoo Quest' wildlife programme. Made by Ariel, the game comprises the original box, the rule book including the charter plane rates and the animal groups, all 48 animal and hazard cards, the money, 11 of the 12 travel voucher slips, and one of the six hunter tokens. Please note that the playing board is missing. The contents are in good condition and do not appear to have been playing with very much. The box is somewhat distressed as it suffers from taping, tearing and scuffing to all four corners. However, the graphics on the lid are still as vibrant and evocative as ever. 1950s Boxed Sooty's Tidleywinks Game 1950s Boxed Sooty's Tidleywinks Game(Reference #9-8-70)
Made by Chad Valley of England by arrangement with Harry Corbett, this is a very early item of Sooty memorabilia, of the famous black-eared bear puppet who first appeared on British television in 1951. It appears to date from before the formation of Sooty Concessions Ltd, the merchandising company. Unlike the later edition of this game made by Philmar, this version only features Sooty, not his dog friend Sweep. The game is complete in its original box (4.5" x 5.25") and includes a wooden cup, six plastic flippers and five counters of each of the six colours. The target board features the most delightful scenes of Sooty as a magician, sailor, xylophone player, and traveller. The game itself is in good condition, but the box has suffered somewhat over the years. It suffers from tearing, scuffing, paper loss and considerable amounts of sellotaping. (150 #) US$36.00

Price: £18.00

1950s Boxed BBC TV Game of 'Guess My Story'(Reference #00-12-02x)
Issued by Pepys Party Games in the 1950s, this boxed game is adapted from the programme 'Guess My Story' by courtesy of the BBC. The game consists of 12 cards, each of which contains a different personal story. They are modern, historical, legendary, or fictional. The personalities included range from Lady Godiva and Guy Fawkes to Sir Gordon Richards and Sir Edmund Hilary. One of the players is selected as the chairman, one of the other players (the challenger) assumes the personality of an individual described on a card, and the remaining players form a panel who question the challenger as to his identity. The game is complete and intact, and the only slight defect to report is that the box lid is crushed and torn. If you yearn for an unusual piece of TV memorabilia, then here's your chance.
