Produced in the 1980s, and believed to have been made in Japan, these two dolls measure 7.25" tall and are in good condition. One doll is dressed as a harlequin, and the other is costumed as a pierrot. Both dolls have appealing facial expressions, china head and limbs on a stuffed cloth body. | 1980s Japanese China and Cloth Clown Doll(Reference #5-3-198)
Produced in the 1980s, and believed to have been made in Japan, this very attractive clown doll measures 19.5" tall and is in very good condition. He wears a cotton costume with a polka dot and floral design, complete with two pom-poms. The clown has a particularly appealing facial expression, and has a traditional painted clown's face. He has a china head and limbs on a stuffed cloth body. He also has an extremely fine provenance, as he used to be on display at the Cotswold Teddy Bear Museum that closed its doors for the last time in 1995. |  | 1910s Bisque and Composition Miniature Costume Doll(Reference #04-5-46)
Made in Germany circa 1910, this delightful doll stands just 5" tall. She has a bisque head with an 'S' marked on the back, fixed glass eyes, open mouth with teeth, a jointed composition body, and painted socks and shoes. She is still dressed in her original costume of braid-edged black dress with yellow apron. There is some minor wear to the apron and some slight grubbiness to the head, but the doll is in otherwise very good condition. She would make an absolutely charming addition to any collection either of miniature dolls or of early costume dolls. Please note that the stand is not included. (#) US$78.00

| 1940s Occupied Japan Bisque Doll(Reference #07-7-12x)
Marked MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN, this 5 inch bisque doll dates from 1948 to 1952. She has attractively moulded and painted facial features as well as shoes and socks. Endowed with jointed limbs, she is complete and intact, and is in very good condition for her age, but does suffer from some marking and blue paint smudging (presumably done during the original manufacturing process), as well as slight paint loss to the shoes. Made in Japan from WWI on, this 3.75 inch tall pottery doll represents the pantomime character of Aladdin. It is attractively moulded and decorated and, apart from some slight paint loss, is in very good condition.
